![]() The casino in Excalibur was pretty much the same as our last visit. If you still want to be in that same area, a better option is Luxor or New York New York. Out of the 5 hotels I have previously stayed at, this was the worst and in need of renovations. It wasn't until the last night that my friend work up with red marks on his legs which was a sign of getting bitten by BEDBUGS. We managed to cope with it since we really didn't stay in the room other than to sleep for a few hours a night. The desks at the elevators had signs saying show your key card for security, but either nobody was checking or at the desk. The hallways were loud with kids running up and down. The AC was loud and didn't work properly with little air actually flowing even running it all day and night. Nice view but the drapes do not fully close, so beam of pink neon from the Arena shone through. Gilberto helped me upgrade to a Resort Room on an upper Floor with a view of the NYNY Roller Coaster. Check-In was smooth at 11am with a short line up of families moving in for the weekend with their coolers and grocery bags. I understand that it is an older casino and that the carpet and walls have been saturated by years of smoke, but it's still a turn off. The minute you get in, it smells of stale air trying to be covered up with Febreze. After getting a cheap hotel price, I finally gave it a try. Normally I enjoy staying at Luxor or Mandalay Bay when I visit Las Vegas and have always seen mixed reviews about Excalibur. ![]()
